This
Wonderful Suit...
Invites
You to Be the Woman You Are
Your
life will change the first time you put on this suit. You will feel more
beautiful than you have ever before felt in a swim suit. This suit is actually
your friend. It's designed to be kind. It knows that your body has
shape, curves, length, softness, size. No matter what other swim suit you
wear, you will always remember the Lingerie Maillot and it will be the one to
which you compare the fit of all others. Sadly for them, none will match
up.
Flattery
It may very well be that more figure types are flattered
by the Anne Cole Lingerie Maillot Swim Suit than any other swim suit made.
We have sold this suit (and ONLY this suit) in our store in the Virgin Islands
since 1987. We have watched hundreds of ladies try it on, and amazingly,
it looks great on just about everyone. Put it on and, without even looking
in the mirror, you know it flatters you.
Fit
The fabric is knit to Cole's specifications and is
a blend of 82% nylon and 18% spandex. The tricot knit stretches in every
direction. This is important! It allows the suit to fit well right
away and for a long time. These particular proportions of nylon and spandex
give the suit just the right amount of stretch-not too tight, not too loose either.
It hugs and holds your body. You know the suit is "on" and snug like a swimsuit
should be, yet the fit is comfortable and won't make you self-conscious about
squeezing around your legs or under your arms.
Cut
of the Leg
The Leg is cut moderately.
We've seen ladies "adjust" the suit so more of the leg is revealed. We also
know ladies who sort of "place" the suit a little lower on the hip and show less.
Both of these techniques are successful. The leg is cut for a woman to wear
in public, on the beach or at the pool. The leg is not cut for someone who
wishes to imitate a Las Vegas show girl. It also is not cut for someone
who wants to completely hide the fact that she has (or doesn't have) hips and
legs and thighs. This is to say that the cut of the leg is very flattering
for many ladies and can adapt to a greater-than-may-be-expected range of
revelation or discretion. When you try it on, fiddle around with the leg
if you like, and you'll see how it can work for you.
Transparency
and Lining
All colors of the Anne Cole Lingerie Maillot, starting with the 2009 Collection, are fully lined. The cups are removable & can be reinserted easily if you change your mind. They're wafer thin & designed to provide "modesty", not to push up or add cleavage. The edges all around the cups are tapered so that, wet or dry, the cup is not visible. There is no "head lights" effect. Another little bit of genius.
Bosoms
The shelf bra in the Anne Cole Lingerie Maillot, with or without the cups, offers the sort of "leadership" required by ladies who wear
A, B, C or D cup sizes. Unmodified, the support offered by the suit's built
in bra is, quite frankly, less than what is commonly desired by larger-than-D-cup
ladies.
Straps
The Lingerie Maillot's straps are completely sensible.
They are sewn to be round and are not easily twisted. They can be adjusted and will hold the length you set. Set at the proper length, the straps do not dent your shoulders, they grace
them.
Try
On
If you are new to this suit, the best way to see for yourself is to try it on and see why we are raving. Choose the most
likely size (or sizes), from 6 to 16, and we will send you the suit(s) to try on at home. Take advantage of our 30-day try on policy.
If
you are among the many happy ladies who are familiar with this wonderful swim
suit, you probably already know what size you wear. You almost certainly
either have or want it, in several colors. We carry all current colors and
also have stock of many colors from earlier seasons' palettes. They are
listed on the CATALOG page.
